Black rotor spacer???

So i am doing the brembo swap right now with jam galant knuckles and this project has spanned a couple of weeks. Now there was a black spacer on either the outside of the rotor (wheel side) or the inside of the rotor (knuckle side). Does anyone know which side this black spacer goes on? And also what its intentions are?

A spacer in the usual place, on the outside of the rotor, is to fix the offset of the wheel.

A spacer in the unusual place, between the rotor and the hub, is to center the rotor in the caliper.

I am agree with (jtmcinder).

If the calipers doesn't line up with the rotors then It will be in the inner side, If it does lines up, then it should be at the outer side, for OFF set clearance.

haha alright i just put it on the inside and it made the rotor move, so tomorrow ill put it on the outside. This could help me with my grinding issue. I had to grind down the caliper in order for it to fit with the wheels and no spacer....... I guess ill find out tomorrow if i really needed to grind at all. With the spacer on the outside of the rotor the wheel doesnt seem like it will mount flush to the rotor (there is a gap caused by the spacer) is this going to be harmful?
