How you gonna go posting Buschur stuff on our thread...LOL.. Anyways, we had a local machine shop make it for us. It was a pretty penny but the next one would be hella cheaper because they have teh template for it now.

Haha that is kind of ironic, but I suppose because you guys don't offer one yet. Anyways about time you got "black betty" out again, I always wondered what was going on with that car.

Just remember the title of this post - we are not bringing this car back out to try and set any records. It is going to be a car for the guys here at the shop to enjoy - so what if it only ran 9's on the powerglide years ago - we would be very happy having an 8 second DSM that everyone here can enjoy and feel a part of.

We are hoping to start wiring it up next week, all the parts are here and the motor is in the car.

Look forward to firing it up in a few weeks - hopefully :)

Wish we where closer to come give you a hand Mike, we are reworking a few things on the auto at the moment and have been playing at the track with the pump gas cars.

Good luck with the car

Seems like your really pumped about having 8 1600cc injectors, either that, or you have some completely unneeded fuel set up. (16 1600cc injectors FTW!!!!!!!!)

Methanol - twin Weldon pumps
John used to run a weldon but only one. You could hear that thing 3 car lenghts back :D
Have u looked into a mechanical waterman? 1/8 of the weight of 1 pump alone, plus all your fuel lines. But like you said your just looking to have fun not set records. Sweet setup though and good to see its gonna be running:thumb: Is their anyway it will be out at the shootout?

As methanol has half the energy content as gas, 8x1600cc seems reasonable for a 42R setup.

What NHRA/NOPI classes will this car be legal for?

I was just saying, if you look at the quote, he mentions that he has 8 1600cc injectors twice, I know that 8 1600cc injectors isn't unreasonable for methanol, Im just saying he listed it twice, which makes it seem like its a big deal to him imo.
