I blew my turbo a couple weeks ago, and just finished replaceing it today with a 16G. Now when it runs, it runs like crap, the windows dont work, the roof doesnt work, the engine all of the sudden stalls, all the gauges on the dash go crazy, tach jumps around, speedo comes on periodically, same with radio, lights stay on when the engine is shut off, if i press the horn it stays on until i unplug the battery, electric door locks dont work, and the battery dies when i shut it off. But all the dash lights work. I'm sure I have a small boost leak somewhere that is contributing to the engine running funny. But what explains the rest of it??? One thing I did do is when replacing the turbo, I pulled the heat shield off the turbo I accidentally arced it off the alternator a couple times, it was running fine before this. I checked ALL the fuses and relays and there all good. Is it possible I fried the ECU? Is there a way to check? I have one from a 95 420a, would this work on a 97 GS-T spyder? Thanks in advance.

That was my second guess, but how does that explain the windows, don't they run straight from the battery? I also found out the blower for the heater doesn't come on.

And I dont think the horn has anything to do with the alternator.

Would the alternator off a 94 1.8L or a 95 2.0 RS (420a) work as a replacement?

EDIT: Never mind I found it, the alternator fuse blew. Somehow I managed to miss that one...
