i dont want to ask which would be better becasue im sure that depends on personal taste and the specific vehicle, but i dont want to order one and then end up wanting the other one a few days down the road. I am planning to do a full engine build (pistons, rods, cams, etc) and im just wondering which would have a better power output. Im not going to ask if the 20g would be streetable, as i have a 468ci BB in a Nova with a 3500rpm stall converter (which everyone says is highly unstreetable) and it doesnt bother me a bit. so i guess what im getting to is if you had a chance to pull your engine, fully build it, and get all the supporting mods, which turbo would you use? im also open to other suggestions on sizes, im just not too sure where to start.

SBR G50. Great street turbo. Quick spool for a 50 trim. Probably the same as the 20g. But with much more potential. Very streetable at 21lbs.

I'd grab the pump gas king: 60-1

Barring that a BB 50 trim is a quick spooler that moves good air.

Also a great turbo. My choice turbo. Partly because of it's pump gas potential, mostly because I need something with some lag since I'm FWD.

If your planning on getting a full engine rebuild in the future then the 16g or the 20g more then likely WOULD NOT be in the future. With a rebuilt motor u have much more options and it is alot more complicated process. If u want another turbo i would just buy a 16g FOR NOW and in the future after your rebuild maybe go to a 35R or something along those lines. The 16g is very in-expensive and can give u the power you want NOW without having to spend an arm and a leg. Thats just a suggestion, I personally would go that direction. You could buy a 20g now and get the motor rebuilt and keep the turbo but you would probably be maxing it out. I have a HRC Super 20g on my completely stock motor and i wouldnt mind having a 30R or something like that. Its your decision, choose carefully and do it right the first time so u wont have to spend alot of money.

Like Andy said you want a pump gas turbo. I wish I would have researched a little better before buying my evo 16g. It can get up to 400whp just not on pump gas. Once you hit about 17psi and 300whp on the 16g its a batttle to make more power and tune with more boost. Methane injection always helps that though.
