Which would be better for my needs? I want a streetable, reliable, fast car, that I can take to the track and beat some people with, with about 350ish HP maybe up to 400 eventually but not for awhile. Which would be my best bet for this set up? And what do you need as far as supporting mods between the two?

EVO III will be the better street turbo. 20g's are known for there lag. Not a good street turbo unless you wanna get a Bastard 20g from Slowboy which is a great turbo. 20g internals in a 16g housing but an EVO III is going to make a lot of power for the money. For this I would recommend either a 190lph or 255lph with FPR. Set of 650cc injectors. I would definatly port the hell out of the wastegate and o2 housing before install to help with boost creep issue's. Some sort of tuning device, I recommend a datalogger with a SAFCII. Boost controller of course. Manual is fine. 3" exhaust will benefit this turbo a lot. You will need the 2g install kit as well. And SBR 3500 is a good clutch for your setup. Upgraded BOV which I see you already have. Upgraded IC piping wouldn't hurt either. I would also recommend getting Boost and EGT gauge's to help with tuning. Finally I would get a turbo timer to help prevent against taking the turbo out prematurly.

Will the stock intercooler work ok w/ these turbos? or will I need a FMIC? Anybody have any experiance with the slowboy racing 2g one? And as far as the fuel pumps go, whats the difference between the normal and higih pressure ones? which do I want?

SBR 2g intercooler is a great kit. You don't NEED a front mount but it will benefit you. You can get by with an upgraded sidemount but I would just go with a front mount of sorts. SBR's is a great one.

It's cheaper, spools faster, and if you are only looking for 350-400 hp streetable mark, e316g is perfect. If you are upgrading later, why spend like $300 more on a 20g? 20g's are sweet, don't get me wrong, but it's all up to you. It basically comes down to quicker spool or more topend.

Some people say they get the hole shot with AWD then have a later-spooling turbo. Others contradict this by saying immediate power off the line by spooling up the turbo while stopped.

With FWD like you, some say they want a slower-spooling turbo so they dont lose traction off the line as bad, but basically when the turbo spools, even if you aren't launching, you are still going to lose traction.

There's lots of threads about this, hope I helped a litte.

your stock sidemount will work fine with the evo16g, but if you REALLY want to get that thing to open up to its potential the SBR FMIC is an AMAZING intercooler. The core is HUGE, its like 24x12x3.5 .. im installing mine tonight with maft blowthrough set up. i'll post back to let you know how the install goes and what the gains were like.

I was curious why you went with the blow-thru setup. On 2g's, the stock 2g maf flow's just about as much as a 3" GM MAF. It can be a waste of money on some cars if you aren't using it as your main tuning source. I had contemplated it but AMS and AGP both told me I wouldn't benefit from it.

When I get to that point, i'm going blow-thru, mainly for the ability to vent, and I'm thinking about getting the 3.5". Or is that overkill?

3.5" GM MAF is overkill, 3" will work just fine.

The HP or high pressure unit creates extra flow when you go above 50psi of fuel pressure. This ensures that you get the fuel that you need when running high levels of boost.

Your fwd dont even bother with the EVO3, It makes alot of power and spools very fast. Your going to have a very hard time outta the hole. Setup to the 20G and its actaully going to help your 60foot times out kinda....
