Hey everyone,

So here is my problem. I started to get low oil pressure on start up and it will slowly go up. Hopfully there isnt any metal shavlings in my pick up and this is a early sign of crankwalk. Any ways, with me having low oil pressure my shaft play increased. I did in fact just rebuilt this turbo in august. There is very small sratches were the bearings sits and on the bearing as well. So what my question is the turbo okay to rebuiled again or do i have to have it machined? or is there any were i can buy a new center housing?

I had to replace the center housing. When you find scratches in your center housing you will have to replace your center HOUSEING!

You should be able to polish the journals with 600-grit paper and get rid of any raised portions of the grooving that will damage the bearings in the future. A small amount of grooving is acceptable and will not damage the bearings because there is no "load" on the bearings during normal turbo operation with proper oiling. The bearings float in the housing, the shaft floats in the bearings.

You're definitely getting metal in the oil- if you don't find the source of the problem or run an inline filter it your oil supply line you'll be right back here in as little as a week.

I have a Force performance inline filter. The scratches were pretty deep in the center housing. ( It would catch my nail). I havent found the source or anything in my filter yet. I think when i did the previous rebuilt, its possible (condsering i live on a dirt road) tiny rocks could have stuck to my hand then fell into the turbo before install. I'm going try sanding my T25 and see how it works out. Have to have some kind of spare. Thanks Justin!:thumb:
