I have done so many...

E85 fuel conversion rocks the most... :sneaky:

Race gas boost. Fuel cost after MPG loss a bit less per mile than 93 octane...

what do you need to convert to E85?
I read about that fuel a while back, but i dont know what you need to run it in our cars
Its like running alchol you would basicly need the same setup. E85 will eat up bare aluminum, though anodized seem to work or stainless. And the alcohol resistint o-rings.
There are several cars that run on it that you can take from so you could use the pump. Don't know the flow ratings :notgood: . Also I don't know if blending it with regular gas will help.

Adjustable FPR SX or paxton... I think aeromotive has a alky tolerant diaphram too..

Anodized stock fuel rail or Magnus aftermarket... http://www.magnusmotorsports.com/

Inline fuel pump or in tank pump from a FFV....

Injectors 40% larger than what you need on gas that are ethanol compatable... All can handle 10% mixes but these must handle high % of ethanol..

Preferably AEM EMS.. DSM link is better than MAFT or SFAC... The AEM allows full control of cold start...etc... It needs more cold start enrichment than gas.. I am running and running fast on just a MAFT and tuned via dataloging a wideband o2... Its still no where near as smooth as when I had it on a pro-efi... The AEM it will get over winter and some other tweeks will dial it in... You might see me talking about running E98 next spring....

100-200.

Thx for all the input fellas.

I'm currently enlisted in the army and i just recieved my paper stating that i'll be shipped out November 9th. With that being said, i dont think i have enough time and experience on my hands to do any kind of tuning, unless I get some extra help.

I'll go with the fuel pump. Its the Walbro 190lp right? Start off at 17psi, and maybe go to 18-19 at most.

About my exhaust, i do plan to keep it stock, so that it'll be easier for my parents if they decide to sell the car. I'm gonna go ahead and unbolt my downpipe for a day, drive it around the woods to test and check for any problems. If it's all good, then i'll bolt it back up that day and take it off when i go to the tracks. I'll also be putting in 103 octane at the tracks.

If anybody from the northside of the Chicago area wants to lend a hand to a soldier, that'd be appreciated.

Thanks.

You do NOT want to run higher than 14-15 psi w/ a stock exhaust system bolted on. Your run higher than that and your exhaust is going to start screaming due to the catalytic converter. :talon:

I wont have my cat connected when i run over 14-15psi.

Not sure if its true but i heard that leaded race gas will hurt your cat anyhow.

I saw a guy with a 240 with sr20 last night try to turn up his boost past 14psi and it blew the guts of the cat out the exhaust. Made for a nice fireworks show. He thought he had blown his turbo. ROFL

If you have some free time on your hands you can always do some port work yourself on the turbo, o2 housing and manifold. that'll help you a bit more. not to mention you dont really need a fuel pump if your going to be running say 16 psi. if your going to disconnect your dp then yes fuel pump is needed. get 195 lph that way it seems like you probably wont keep it for long so reaching anywhere near 300 horses on the car is probably unrealistic. Regardless fuel pump with disconnected dp and say 17 psi. you should be okay! like i said personally i would port the turbo o2 and manifold and put the fuel pump. :thumb:

Look get a 255, and don't worry about an fpr for a good while, i have a 2g on a 20g, An what freaked me out is that the min boost to set it out on was 16 psi WTF , i really couldn't drive to hard then i threw on there a 255 w/o a FPR, filled up with av gas and man what a difference, down here by the everglades you can pick up a gallon for 3.10, so i fill up every Saturday for the hangout, my next mods are the safc which i have and injectors which i have just have to install, with a FPR. Don't waste your money twice yea 190 are good but just go to a 255, obviously with a FPR (not immediately), then work you way up.

Routine maintenance is the best mod for these cars

Well said my friend!

I actually daily drove my 92 without any problems all summer, saw over 20 000 miles this summer without a single break down.. Needless to say i was impressed.

I did just about all my major mods at the same time, can't really tell you which one was the best.. Although i can tell you the EvoIII 16G is a significant improvement over the stock 14b!
