Alright I have to go .30 over on my rebuild. my choice of pistons is ross 8.5:1 with stock reconditioned rods, federal mogul rod, main bearings. Does anybody else have any other ideas? Im shooting for 26 - 30 pounds of boost. Money isnt an issue because so far is all comes out to 3,000 which isnt a problem.

Well, I am also planning on rebuilding my 420a before I turbo it, and I was thinking more about the JE 8.8:1 pistons. I wasnt real sure about how much compression to run before it became a problem with that amount of boost, especially on pump gas. Just my input.

I would go with ROSS, JE you must wait for the car to be fully warmed up to drive so the JE pistons can expand fully or your pistons will slap around.

i would stick with ross.. theyve always done good for me.. but dont go with eagle rods... id go with something like Crower.. Crower will hold up In alot tougher situations..

Its a good idea to let any forged piston to get to normal operation temp before driving to avoid slap. But with that said I personally like wiseco pistons I have used them and in high boost conditions and never had a problem with that what so ever. But I haven't used every brand out there though, I think it will just come down to what you perfer than choose that piston
