Everytime when I first start my car and when I barely start driving my belts start to squeal, but when as a few minutes it just goes away...

could it be:
1. belts are too tight
2. belts are too lose

i already sprayed belt dressing and check my belts for cracks, but no cracks... what could it be??

Thanks!!

ya same thing happend to me just tighten the belts and you should be fine
^^^ seconded ^^^ exact same thing happened to me, exact same thing... i would start the car up after not driving for a while and i would get squeal for about 20 seconds. tightened up the alternator belt and now its perfect.

mine did and still do after tightening...only when very cold out or not run the car for a while belts are new and everything is tightened to specs

When the cold weather hit, my alternator belt started sqealin so i just tightened it down real good and that took care of it. haven't heared a thing from it even when it gets really cold out.... get a Haynes Repair Manual and that will tell you how to tighten it and how much.

Someone's gonna come in and tell you to check your harmonic balancer (crank pulley), so do that too.

But yeah, tighten down the alt belt, that'll probably do it.
