BCS hookup

Can the stock BCS be hooked up the same way as a MBC? In other words...can you just run the vacuum line closest to the edge of the BCS to the wastegate and the other one to the turbo or does it have to have that feed to the air intake?

No you can not. You have to connect the pressure source hose to the wastegate hose with a t. Than from the t run a hose to the bsc and from the bcs to the intake.

The ball and spring manual boost controller is a pressure valve, the boost controller is just a solenoid that opens and closes to relieve the pressure and close the wastegate. They work totally different. The bcs is a bleeder system and must constantly bleed the pressure thru to function. The mbc is just a pressure valve that opens when a certain pressure overcomes the spring pressure in the valve.
