Bc 272 vs Bc 280 on my 2.4l build

I want my build to be a low to mid range torque monster with a quick spool. The turbo I'll be running is the Bw s256 ett. Right now I'm on the Evo III with Bc 272's on the 2.0 and I love how feels and I want that same response with my 2.4 set up. I heard the 280 move the torque curve up but decrease spool on a 2.0 but how does it work with the 2.4? I also heard the 280's in a 2.4 act like a 2.0 with 272's is that true? I want to stick with Bc cams because they seem to make the most torque. Also side question I have a vemon intake manifold I was thinking of running with the 2.4 build. How would it affect my power band/ torque and would I work better with the 272's or 280's?

Are you running cam gears right now? I will say stick with the 272s for drivability the 10hp gain up top switching from Bc 272s to Bc280s is not enought to compensate for the torque down low which helps with gas mileage on a daily driver. Just my .02.
