so how'd it go???

I just got back from the river, saw a couple honda's on trailers on my way back to the city and it made me hope the mitsu's were whoopin ass!!! haha

For starters, it was freaken Hot! I thought it was going to be cooler, like just 95, but I kept seeing temps over 100.

I did OK, my best was 11.5@ 123. I was chasing tuning issues all day. It didn't help that I just upgraded to a 4 bar MAP sensor two days before my laptop broke, so it was tough trying to recalibrate the fuel and timing maps without it. Luckily I was able to hook up my old SAFC and get it to work with the MAP sensor so I could still tune it.

There was a good turnout of Mitsubishi turbo cars. There were about 7 DSM's in various categories, a new Lancer Ralliart running high 11's, a couple EVO's, and a Hyundai Genesis Coupe with the turbo 4.
English Racing took the win in the Pro category, amazing car!

Was alright. so freakin HOT tho. Not too many people. A couple 1gs, no 2gs at all, 2 or 3 evo's. Talked to english racing guys, they were pretty cool, they ran a 9.8(I think) on the first run, and the fastest was like 9.4. Also ran into ted at the pits with his auto parts car. No dsm breakage anywhere except some minor one's. Some fast honda running 9's, 10's

auto parts car+ injectors, ECMLink, and E85. 14.4-14.5s consistently. Needs the line pressure mod and a translab kit. I might be able to squeeze some low 14s out of it. That 13G or 13B is it? blows fat ones.

Grass roots dsm'n!

Sorry guys i was rushed to make it back to the fiance on time so i had to leave after 1st round eliminations :notgood:

I got some video of qualifying passes.

Saw Jeff's car run a hi 9 sec pass and then a 10 sec pass so nothing great on vid but i assume it ran good numbers when it counted......seemed like everyone was holding back until eliminations especially the Jaws Gear Supra ROFL

Anyway who took the win in ST class?

Def KOOL to see a bunch of DSM's out

To the English Racing Crew i'm really sorry i didn't have more time to chat and bs w/ you but i had to help out a couple customer's while trying to get good footage of everyone i could........CONGRATS on the win and hope to see you guys out here again i know it's a long trip for ya :thumb:

With e85 and link you can probably make it pretty deep into the 13's even with that turbo, might be a fun new project for now huh Ted?

Bump for results in all classes please......

Anyone know who won in the classes?

ST class? 1 of the bmw's? Jaws gear Supra?

ST class? 1 of the bmw's? Jaws gear Supra?

Jeff Bush and the English Racing crew won the Pro Import Class
The blue MKIII Supra beat the black turbo M3 to win the Street Tuner class

I don't know any others...

During Qualifiers we were running on low boost and just test and tuning. On my first eliminator I had the by run but needed a full pass for logs. I ran 9.4 @ 150 on that pass at 33 psi. Turned it up only 1 psi and stayed around the 9.4- 9.5 mark to win the class. We are now doing the ultimate in crazy. We are gonna run the E town event this next weekend, I will assure you we will not hold back this time. I will run the car as hard as we need to to have fun. Wish us luck Jeff

RIGHT ON MAN! :hellyeah:

Thanx a bunch........at least it seems like it was a decent race in the finals of ST class.

MOV = 0.062 :sneaky:

Sounds like the M3 made a good pass when it counted but damn that Jaws Gear Supra FLYS on the back end w/ the auto OMG

Congrats again Jeff it was a pleasure to meet you and the English Racing guys i wish i had time to sit and chat a bit more.

You guys are INSANE for making the trip out to the east coast but a GOOD kinda INSANE :hellyeah: and i wish you the best of luck out there i hope you take it to em and show that the west coast does have some quick/fast cars!

:f-u:i'm very jealous of your rig you brought the cars down with :D

Sorry i didn't get a chance to snap some of the auto/16g car you brought down as well.

I have a couple vids that are processing from qualifying and 1st round that i'll post asap.

I really had a blast, got to meet some really cool people. My pass of the day was definitely with the supertech drag acura, now that was a bad ass race. We have vids but it may be awhile before they are up loaded due to the new trip out east. I'm hoping to make it a few rounds before the real pro's show me how it's done. Jeff

The autos do it again!

That was the first time in a while I had a push to finish my auto.. So many project so little time.

On another note I won my plaque for the car show so I guess the site has 2 winners.

What times did you hit?

Ted, I think you set some kind of record for the fastest most stock 1G auto AWD dsm LOL

Possibly! :hellyeah:

Fun as hell though. I could get used to this stalling up the converter thing. Just gotta get the motor back together, and the auto rebuilt. I finally found something new to learn about DSMs. The 5 speed rebuilding was getting kinda exhausting. You figure, rebuilding them after a month or so of abuse...and I mean ABUSE!.

You getting the bug yet dave? :sneaky: Dont see any running autos around these parts. Glad the english team came out to put it down.
