About a week ago. If i start the car cold. the voltage on my timer reads 13.9-14.0. When the car warms up the voltage drops to about 13.3-14.0. If i shut my car off come back pretty much anytime. When i start the car the voltage will be at 11.8-11.9 and the three warning lights will be on, on the dash. The lights will stay on until i start driving and get the car over 3krpm. Than the lights will go off and the voltage will jump back up to 13.3-14.0ish. But last night i was coming back from school on the turnpike and i noticed my dash lights dimming low and high every little bit. I look to see the voltage and its reading between 13.3-15.5v?? The battery is holding a good charge about 12.2-12.3. I haven't had any real problems yet but i'm a little worried. I checked all the grounds there tight. On alternator the connections and the belt are tight and the alt. was replaced about a year ago along with the battery and the starter. There is a small oil leak on the filter housing that has been there for a couple months. And there is some spray onto the bottom of the alt. What do you guys think. Every happen to anyone before??

well just from experience working at advance auto you can have a alternator pushing 15 volts but if the amps are low it will still drain the battery so it still could be ur alternator easy way to check go to auto zone or advance and have them do a check on ur alternator

sounds like the voltage regulator is going bad. I had a similar problem where everything was fine, but the lights would flicker and/or just be really bright. The voltage would get up to a little over 15V at times. I replaced the year old Bosch alternator that I had in there with a remanufactured Delco unit. It's been fine ever since (been on there since last summer).
