basic small mods?

i have a 93 fwd talon, it runs good, interior is clean as a whistle. its got a good amount of miles on it and i have some parts that im going to put into it but not till the motor just gives out so i can re-build it + i still need some parts befor i put my turbo in. so my question is what is something thats cheap (under 200) but yet is noticeable that i can put in to it with out taking it apart?

turbo manifold, aftermarket turbo, new spark plug wires bov, intercooler,getting boost controller, boost gauge

2g manifold, 2g o2 housing. Walbro fuel pump. Fuel pump rewire. Hard intercooler piping. Crushed 1g bov. Intake pipe. Intake filter. Downpipe, exhaust.

Remove the stock intake silencer after the stock maf. Remove the lower honeycomb. Rewire the fuel pump. Clean and straighten the fins of the stock IC. Get a logger and boost gauge and manual boost controller.

its a 93 talon FWD es, bone stock, have turbo but is not hooked up.

You could probably pick up a short ram intake or an ebay header. You could also go ahead and get a 190 fuel pump and a re wire kit and install that since you will be installing a turbo soon anyway.

Honestly I have no idea I have never purchased one. I know the knock Injen intakes for the turbo motors work just fine, so I would assume the short ram would be worth it. Honestly though I think a short ram is a short ram the only reason you pay so much for like a skunk, or spoon, or w/e peice is because of the name that is on it . You could probably go out and have someone fab up a solid piece of pipe to replace your current intake and slap a kn on it and be good to go haha (not saying try it, but you know.)

haha yea someone probably could make one. i think i will buy the weapon R one because the one on ebay is like 130 shipped or something like that and the one on AAS is almost double that yea the air filter on it looks stupid as all hell but thats something that easy to take care of

Yep, on my 14b with an fp intake I was using one of those Specter filters from advance, looked ricer, but it worked for me.

I wouldnt get anything from Ebay that deals with how your car runs, u might as well spend the money now then spending a shit load more later to make up for the mess up, my buddy bought a Ebay evo III 16g and it lasted about 3 months, then i sold him one of mine that he should have bought, and its still spoolin and hes be running it for about 9-10 months now,

Intakes dont spin around at 10,000+ rpms dude. Intakes, exhaust, and some manifold's on ebay are good to go. Search function is Baller and it does WONDERS.

I hope you know this is a lot more to it than just slapping on a turbo

Right right, because they need all the pressure they can get. Anything else you want to add to the list? My car came out the factory with turbo, so I am a "noob" when it comes to the part's list to turbo a car. BUT it sounds like the OP doesn't have half the parts needed to do the conversion.

all i have now is the turbo, manifold, intercooler, and bov, and i do got to get a bunch of shit yet but like i said its going to be a while before its in, as in once my engine takes a big shit. so once that happens i can re-build that thing from the bottom up and by then i should have all the right parts i need.

your gonna need as stated, a 255 fuel pump, rewire kit, fpr of some sort different brands work fine, mbc, intercooler id advise front mount cuts down on knock at higher boost and gives better intake charger temps hence more power, a good flowing exhaust, id recomend a 2g manifold flows good and can be ported to flow even better and its cheap good for a budget build, but all in all its cheaper to just buy a gsx or gst honestly and the bottom ends are partially forged from the factory 300+ numbers come very easily with mild mods just listed just some advice take it or leave good luck
