Ive searched for the past couple days and couldnt find anything, I need a baseline to help me out getting my SAFC neo tuned. I have all the basic setup done just need a baseline of where to start.

Setup is: walbro 255, AFPR, 660's, big 16g, 3in catback, 2g MAF

Trying to get this tuned decently for sunday any and all help is appreciated

Pretty much what we had to do when we had an SAFC was just drive around and tune as you go. It will help a lot if you have a data logger or a wideband. You need something that is telling you what your fuel is doing.

The first thing you need to do is get t he baseline corrections for your bigger injectors. For 660cc injectors, i would start at around -18%.

Started tuning more today, started at about -10 (MAF and injectors compensation) and couldnt get any adjustment either way. Looked at me sensor readings on the safc and had NO airflow output. The unit has been reflashed for Karmen sensors so i have no clue what the problem could be

If you are going to tune your SAFC without a wideband then I highly suggest you just do a boost leak test and fix any boost leaks, then set the recommended value for your injectors and STOP tuning from there until you get a wideband.

Just my .02

Forgot to mention i AM running a wideband. Im about to give up on the whole safc setup and just go evo8

Sorry bro, i dont mean to jump in and steal ## thread, just sucks bein a member for a long time and due to bein deployed i cant get on a lot and still a "probationary member" so i cant make my own thread, but i do have a couple questions that hopefully u guys can help me out with. Before i got deployed i installed the NEO in my 96 GSX and im brand new to it, i have a couple concerns about it...First major one is, out of boost from stop and idle, i have no power, i have to ride the clutch a bit to move it then wait for it to go into boost before itll start movin good, same thing after every upshift but even then at 20ish psi when it hits boost, the boost is there but the related power that should be there isnt, like somethings holding it back...2nd concern is the throttle %age on the NEO, as soon as the gas peddle is touched, the NEO shows the throttle at 100%...is this right??....Mods include Greddy FMIC, 550's, HKS SSQV, EVOIII GT big 16g, 255 fuel pump, SS tubular manifold, built bottom end, 3" turbo back, ProSport boost and oil press. gauges and AEM UEGO WB, other typical things but thats the jyst of it. had the stock 450's set at 16psi and it ran way better and faster....Again bro i dont mean to jump in like this but i need some help so i can try some things as ill be commin back to the states in a couple mo's....Any help/suggestions?

Chances are you didn't set up the neo before using it or you did and it didn't save. You need to go in the options menu (forget which) and set your throttle position. If I remember right, you need to set it with the arrow pointing up and when it asks for no throttle, don't press down, enter it in the neo, and when it asks for WOT press all the way down, and press finish on the neo. Make sure that when you're in the sensor check menu (the one that has all sensors in digital form) that all checks corresponds to what it should (should show something like 0.5volt when the accelerator is not touched), then tune.

I acually remember doing just that, it tested and checked out ok and saved fine but same thing occurred. I had a spare TPS layin around and swapped it out thinkin maybe the one was bad but still same thing so once the gas is even touched the AFC thinks im at full throttle 100% of the time and its not runnin right. Im just tryna get some tips and suggestions if not answers to try to solve this issue since its gonna effect everything as far as the car running, driving and tuning it. I was only around for a week and a half before i was sent overseas so i didnt have a lot of time to tinker with it. 15mo deployment and ive been tryin to search and find answers but this probationary crap is stupid, i cant do anything and google doesnt cover much if anything outside of the forum. Amount of posts shouldnt determine your member status, there should be a time limit, not a post limit...well,both in this case...SMDH....But still, any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Im assuming your talking about swapping to a Evo 8 ecu?

I would assume DsmLink 2.5 or v3 would be much easier then a whole ecu swap, which is comepletly useless IMO.....:notgood:

Is there a install guide for the Neo for a 2g any of you can link me to? it might be possible and likely that it was installed wrong, i just really need to get it fixed when we get back home....Thanks in advance!
