balnce shaft and egr vacum lines

im working on a rering of my talon with the engine still in the car and im doing a few other things in the process. i have to things im pretty shore about but i just want to make shore.
1 if i block off the egr valve should i just cap the unused vacuum ports from the water neck.
2 instead of taking the balance shaft out will i have a problem if i just leave the belt off.

1. Doesn't matter.

2. You can disable the Front Balance Shaft like that but you still have to Remove the Rear Balance Shaft & replace with Stub Shaft per the VFAQ.
