badly worn splines output shaft/ Tcase? Video

pulled my transmission, getting ready to send it in for a stage 1.0 from jacks transmission also getting a new oem clutch with flywheel resurfaced, but I'm unsure of these splines on the output shaft and the inside of the Tcase, I would like to make sure my drivetrain is ok. Take a look please.

Yea that doesnt look too good my 95 which is ripped apart and rusted all over, the splines and shaft where still shiny and looked untouched.

Dude those splines are done! Trust me I used to cut splines. Splines are supposed to press in nicely together with around .001 inch or .002 inch of play for back lashes like gears. If you have badly worn splines teeth, you'll just eat them up really fast. I would replace those before putting in new mating parts.

that's what I was thinking as well, thanks for confirmation. Didn't want new tranny/clutch and have these parts break on me.

Either your center diff is shot or your transfer case is on its way out.

Yeah that needs replaced, I would change the T-case aswell.

Damn, that is crazy. some artwork you have there.

-Jacks transmssion is where my tranny is going, so if the center diff is shot hopefully they'll tell me.
