I had my car in the shop because it was leaking a ton of tranny fluid and i couldn't understand why. I took it to import specialists in st. peters. Bill one of their top mechanics found out my trans. bolts were loose and tightened them all back up for me. Since i have had it out of the shop it drove great till a couple days ago I noticed a strange vibration at about 3K and stops once you get closer till 4k it almost stops. It can only be felt through the gas pedal and not the steering wheel. First i was thinking maybe motor mounts but i would think it would always do it if those were shot. I'm now assuming that either my wheel bearing is shot, even though it isn't howling or maybe my transmission is unbolting from the engine again. What do you guys think ?

One other thing that just popped into my head is the cruise control cable being too tight . It is a shot in the dark, but could that cause vibrations.

Does'nt sound like a wheel bearing to me. But to check for that, jack up the front end so the wheels are just off the ground an inch or so, then try to wiggle the wheel side to side and/or up and down.. Dont try to turn it just enough to move the wheel a little..

Is there any other kinds of noises or vibrations you notice? Id check for a gap between the block and trans just for safe measure.
