I just put a new ets street fmic on my car, on sunday I went out to test it out. When i was at a stop light i seen white smoke coming out of my cars exhaust, when i got home i seen I lost about 32oz of coolant because i had to pull my over flow off for the fmic. So i found some thing to use as a over flow, when i was going to work to day my car was running good and i was on the high way and a guy with a cobalt ss wanted to race so i put it in 4th and took off and i flew past him and when i looket at my boost i was at over 20 my hose to my mbc to my j pipe came off.Now when im at stop ights and stuff when my cars warm it has white smoke coming from my exhaust no water in my oil no oil in my water no bubbles in water fill while running and my spark plugs look good.So does any body have any input on my car

hmm well, my car is spewing white smoke also and I checked my turbo for excessive shaft play, and there was so much that the compressor wheel can scrape on the sides. I pulled the turbo off and noticed oil in the compressed air outlet tube, oil and coolant mixed together in the turbine outlet tube (a small pool of this sludge in my downpipe) and the compressor wheel had scraped grooves in the housing. This turbo is dead for sure. I also noticed that the manifold outlet tube was nice and dry and what appears to be normal deposits.

Of course I was going fast and lost power at the same time white smoke came out. The turbo was glowing red hot.

Maybe a compression test might also help determine if its a headgasket or not.

I dont have any shaft play at all feels like new.I will do a compression test tomorow but i hope its the turbo:confused:

ok i did my compression test and i got from left to right 170-171-170-169.but it was not a bad head gasket it was my 14b turbo.I went to free spin my turbo and it was hard to spin but still made 14lb of boost, so its time to buy a new turbo i think i will go with a big 16g evo 3 because this is for my fwd but i will go with a 20g on my awd.ROFL

my cars doing something very similar. Did it feel like your car had almost no power even out of boost? I've had done everything from a boost leak test, to new plugs wires and intake filter. Still no better....

Just got my e316g on today from extreme psi.I got 2nd day shiping and it still only cost 640, i just need a few things and my fwd will be a good dd. dsm96eclipse did you try and free spin your turbo, when mine was cold it would spin just fine when hot it would almost lock up .
