Long story short, Im looking for a fidanza or similar timing gear instructions.

Bought the car, 95 420a talon, after it was built/turbod by the prior owner and wouldnt run. We, my friend mainly and yes he is a mechanic, rewired the entire engine bay and installed a new ems computer. We attempted to start it and under full throttle it would sometimes fire up but would misfire and backfire badly and cut off it let up on throttle. At this point it would also push air out the bov and pop in the exhaust when you simply turned the key on after trying to start it without it starting.

After checking the timing marks the longer marks showed one up and one down. Several pics we found showed them both being up so we changed it. Now when trying to start it the motor feels like its free wheeling almost. as well as pulling the timing belt slightly off the outside of the pulleys.
