Ok so heres the story one day I was driving along on the highway and got off the exit and got into the mall parking lot the temp shot up and the the lights went dim. Shut the car down and opend the hood to my surprise my brand new belt was shredded so thankfully I had my friend in his 1g bring me to autozone and get a new belt threw it on but noticed the car when just cranking over made a weird knocking sound then ran fine with no noises. So were driving along and all of a sudden I hear this really fast paced knock/ zinging sound but the car lost no power so we pulled over and opened the hood I looked at the belt again and it looked like the belt was shredding again so I thought for a second and pulled on the crank pulley it was loose and half of it almost felt like it was coming off.

Fast forward the crank pulley was bad and went in half got a new one it also ate the timing cover and I noticed the timing belt on the inside there were inconsistent marks where it looked like something was rubbing. Now this motor was just rebuilt about 2k ago and fully all new bearings and gaskets water pump the hydraulic tensioner is new ect. now I put a new belt on but when I was turning the crank to #1 at tdc I heard a clanking sound when turning it. (btw that was with the belt off. So I put the belt on and cranked it and the sound was still there with no pulleys on and nothing was rubbing against the belt. Now the car runs smooth and no lose of power. I did do a bs removal and I put on a 90 oil filter housing. I noticed a lot of times my oil gauge was reading a little too high past the line on the gauge could the excessive high oil pressure cause a rod bearing failure? I do not drive the car at all and it was driven maybe 4 miles with that sound and parked since. I do notice when I gave the car a little gas it went away a little but when I let go of the gas it made the zinging sound like a weed whacker. What should I do?
