Bad Intake Manifold Gasket??

Would a bog at about 3000-4000 rpm be a symptom of a bad gasket? Its almost as if the motor is dieing for a split second. It doesnt always do it which makes me think its not fuel or spark. Is it doing this from running too rich due to a bad gasket? Or is it possible that this could be something else other than a manifold gasket?

That doesn't seem like the result of an air leak.

On this note(sorry to hijack your thread), HOW can i check the bottom of the intake manifold for leaks at the gasket? No idea how to get in there!

Go from the bottom, use a spray bottle.

Trust me if you had a bad intake gasket you would have idling issues.
Seen that problem quite a few times.

Check all your other basic items, the rest of the system for a boost leak, fuel pressure etc.

I hate to bring this thread back, but for anyone that also experiances this, my problem was a bad ecu due to a bad ics.
