yesterday as i attempted to drive the car, the idle was fluctuating up and down and actually died twice on me. both times i was slowing down for the red light. after taking her home and running some tests, i came up with nothing. when i drove her again she ran absolutely fine. no roughs, around 700 rpm range. should i be worried? it seems like the calm before a storm and that she just might wreck havoc within the next day or so.

Could be a bad tank of gas (did have alot of rain yesterday), a dirty ISC or base idle is not correctly set to allow the ISC enough range to keep your idle. I assume from your profile you don't have an AL flyweel? Those tend to punctuate ISC deficiencies the engine slows down much quicker so the ISC has to be working correctly :dsm:
