Ok so I get a new exhaust put it on and now my car has a terrible idel and low oil pressure:mad:. The car almost stalls (sometimes will) when in nutral. I went to an auto zone and had them scan to see why my engine light was on and it came up as the rear o2 sensor and something like the manufactures air/fuel control meter:confused:. I have never heard of that, neither did the worker so i call mitsubishi and they couldnt tell me what it was they said that to general. If anyone knows if these to things are why my car has a bad idel, is stalling and has low oil pressure let me know. Also let me know anything else that could cause this, thanks.

So far i have replaced battery checked alternator (good), boost leak tested

Did you do a cat delete? To my knowledge 2g's dont like that unless you have a o2 simulator or something that I dont know what its called. If your not running the cat that may be your problem. As for your oil pressure, check your car for oil. Also use spell check and better grammar before posting. People 'round these parts dont like that too much.

Yeah I know im an awful speller sorry in advance to everyone, and yes there is no cat on my car now. My friend is running his car with the same set-up as me and his is fine i guess it could be the problem. Any other ideas people?

No i dont have any logger or wideband (sucks) ha but the downpipe i have completely eliminates the cat i would need like a whole new exhaust

Have you reset your ecu? Bigger exhaust=bigger flow, ecu needs to relearn and it'll "temporarily" get rid of your cel. O2 sim seems to be what I'm hearing alot for a permanent fix.http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=27995&highlight=cat+remove As for your oil pressure, does it rise with the rpms?(as it should) If you now have really low idle, then you'll have really low pressure. Hope your emission laws aren't strict like they are here, because you'll need a cat to pass.Good Luck:)

No I have not reset my ECU yet but I will do that and I will read that fourm you sent me thanks. I passed my e-check already only like a week ago and i kept my stock exhaust intact for my next e-check. Thanks for your advice.

I reset the ecu and still am having problems. My rear o2 sensor is still bad (getting a new one tom) so i will let you know what happiens after that is all said and done. Will it be bad on my car if i still drive it like this I need to get to school!! Anyways what exactly is an o2 sim. I read on them and saw afew on websites but had a couple questions. Does it have a harness which you plug into and replacing the o2 sensor and do you put anything into the o2 housing??

From what I understand, an o2 sim or o2 eliminator, is put in place of your rear o2 sensor. This fools the ecu into thinking you still have one and all is well. It plugs into the harness where the o2 did/just find a screw in plug for where the o2 was on the exhaust. Kinda like a dummy sensor so to speak. This is all in regards to the "rear o2 sensor"located after the "cat", not the front one located in the o2 housing connected to the turbo/downpipe. you need to keep that one:D Any news on your oil pressure? Hope this helps answer some ?'s:thumb:

I think the ECU right now is seeing to much pressure going through the exhaust because there is not cat. Keep in mind the cat is suppose to be before the rear O2 but you don't have one. Like BloodWolfRonin said you will have to get an O2 sim. What I have read before is that when you run catless you don't need a rear O2 sensor therefore, like said before you can just plug the hole with a bolt. If someone could confirm that it can help the person out!

Ok so i put the new sensor in and its a perfect idel when car is sitting and never drops not even after reved up a little. When driving that different, say im in 3rd at 3k and put it into nutral it will stall out on me. I guess I will be getting a o2 sim, can anyone send me the link to a good one because im not to familiar with this and dont want to buy something that I may regret thank for all the fast responses!:thumb:

I can't seem to find one forsale anywhere:| but I did find some links with info on diy.

Maybe someone who's already gone down this road could pipe in?

thanks alot for finding thoes. I will be making my own tomorrow and update my status. Is there any possible way that this is causing all my idel problems/stalling because if not my car is about ready to take a crap on me:cry:

Can anybody else help me I made an o2 simulator and if im at around 3k or more rpms my car wants to stall and sometimes does. The idel is ok now but like I said up there the car is still not running how it should. I dont feel any power loss or nothing else funny just the stalling when in nutral after being at higher rpms. I cant take it to any shops to diagnose this problem for me because I have no cat so they wont even look at it:rolleyes: please someone who has had a problem like this let me know.

Did you change anything else other than bolting on a new dp w/ cat delete? I guess if I were you I'd re-review the basics. Re-check for boost leaks, check plugs, etc etc. Not sure if it would be related, but by chance are you venting? Just wondering since with the new change of removing the cat, the ecu has to adjust and venting improperly tends to mess with how the ecu reads anyways based on the already measured air escaping via venting. Trust me, learned bout that the hard way, still scuffing the soot from running so rich off my bumper LOLROFL. Anyways, sorry, since noone is posting to help, I'm kinda reaching in the dark in an effort to help:( Too bad you're not local to me, I'd love to cruise by and help ya problem solve it. Again, good luck and anyone? anyone? help a DSM'r out:thumb:
