Bad CAS cause HIGH Idle???

Ok, well I have searched and searched, with little to nothing found. I was wondering if a bad 1G CAS would cause High Idle? It doesnt surge, just idles high. I have a 91 6 bolt swaped into a 95 2G. When I did the swap i did the CAS rewire from RRE, along with switching the injector wires on the plug for the ECU and it ran fine and idled fine then. I have done boost leak test(found a small crack on valve cover next to cylinder #1 plug cause I tightened down the bolt a lil to hard and caused a crack, FIXED) and all is good! I have tested my ISC and all 4 coils tested eithin spec as per Hines Manual. I replaces my coolent temp probe thinking that it might cause it, no luck. All my timing marks as far as crank, oil pump and cam gears all lined up good! Now with my pocketlogger it says my timing at 1000 rpm was like 18 to 20 degs. I know that aint right. So I removed the CAS and turned it 180 degs and reinstalled. To my surprise my logger read the same. If i try and adjust the CAS with car idling, it wants to idle higher and timing goes up to 31 to 32 degs. I am alittle lost on what else to do here. :confused:
 
Well, I have the biss screw all the way turned in. The CAS is turned counter clockwise all the way. If I adjust the biss screw out then the idle goes up higher and if I adjust the CAS clockwise the idle goes up higher too. Right now with them set where they are it idles at 2000 to 2200 rpm. Any adjustments and it goes up. Thats why i ask if a bad CAS could cause this?
 
The very first thing I would do is set the base timming. You NEED to set proper base timming. 5* BTDC with the advance grounded. All loggers assume your base time is at 5*. Make sure you are up to operating temp for this. From there you will need to adjust the BISS. If your still idleing high its time to check for boost leaks again. Also make sure that your throtle plate is closing all the way and the idle switch closes. As long as your car still starts and runs, your CAS is alright.
 
I have a 1g tb. Throttle cable isn't too tight either. I completely loosened it to see and it still idled very high. Also, I can push down on the throttle to close it by hand and then the idle comes down. As soon as i let it go it idles right back up. Now when I rebuilt the motor I cleaned up the TB and the plate, so I dont think it could have built up much just sitting in the driveway running the motor once or twice a day. Also there is no idle switch for the 2G.

Did you completely remove the idle switch? If not, try adjusting it so the throttle can close a little more. You shouldnt remove it because it acs like a stop where the 2g has a screw. If you remove it, the plate can slam shut and wedge itself closed. This can lead to a sticking throttle and/or a bent throttle shaft.

It was never on the TB when I got it. I am more worried about fixing the high ilde problem first, yea know. I will try and find one when I get a chance. Well I just rewired a new 1991 CAS and replaced my PT with a new one I had. I will give it a shot here in a bit to see if it helped,, fingers crossed!
 
If you can close the throtle body physicly more and it idles down you just found your problem man. Something is keeping your plate open. Check to make sure your TPS is adjusted right (proper output voltage), check for things getting in its way of shutting properly, and PLEASE make sure your throtle plate screws are tight! Something is not right on your throtle body. Don't forget to re-set your base timming too!
