bad blow off valve?

so I buy a clean 91 talon awd shell and put a jdm engine in it. I take it for a test drive and when I start building boost it feels like I hit a wall. I think I'm hitting fuel cut, so I did a boost leak test. I found a small leak in my tb and my biss. I also isolated the sidemount and ic piping and found my stock bov starts to leak at about 6psi wtf! I know a 2g stock bov sucks(like the one on my 97 :) ) but how much can a 1g bov hold. Can this be one of the reasons I'm hitting fuel cut? The car is stock other than a 3" turbo back exhaust, HKS upper ic piping and tb elbow. I am going to tear the tb apart when I have a chance. I am wondering about the bov though. Any help is appreciated. :thumb:
 
fuel cut is determined by the ecu and it "thinking" you are sucking in too much air for your engine to handle. It's basically thinking "there's no way in hell I can produce enough fuel for all of that air" (even with larger injectors and all the fuel upgrades in the world) so it shuts off spark to half your engine. Fuel cut is determined by the ECU and only the ECU, the only way to eliminate that is to reprogram it. Therefore your leaking BOV will not cause fuel cut, because it is after the MAS. However, if you have your boost turned up without a SAFC, that could cause the problem. If I were you, I'd put the boost to a stock level until you can properly tune the car, once that is done you can go on with modifying it. A pocketlogger is a good investment also.
