bad 7 bolt block in my 99 gst

I have a 99 eclise gst with a bad block, I had plan on just replacing the block with another 7 bolt block so in the meantime I had bought a 95 galant se with a 2.4 liter motor in it. Now my question is can I use the motor out of the galant in any way in my eclipse, I mean like using the block with my heads or something. The engine out of the galant is not turbo or anything so I am not sure in any way if I can and that is why I am coming here to ask all of you out there. Thanks for any help you can give.

sorry for the long period inbetween my post and getting back with you but I have decided that I am gonna have to rebuild the block. so if the offer for help still stands I would really apreciate any kind of help. thanks
