ok im trying to convert my spyder to gsx and i have a parts car. i have all of the rear suspension off except the trailing arms which wont budge, non of the nuts or bolts and im getting pissed, can anyone give me some advice. all help is much appreciated,
Thanks Cory

If im reading right, then your spyder is non turbo, are you doing a whole 4g63 swap? Otherwise i dont believe its gonna work. But anyway go buy a can of bolt loosener, i forget what its called exactly, let it sit over night and they should come off.

actually n/a spyders are 4g64, all the turbo stuff and drivetrain bolt up. they aren't 420a's if thats what you are thinking. i did try penitrating lube and it didnt work.

The upper and two lower control arms are exactly the same 2g-GST Vs 2g-GSX. I cant say if it applys to GST spyders likewise. The only difference on GTS Vs GSX in the rear is the crossmember and hubs. I know this info may not apply to N/t spyder but it might. Also you could just grind off the bolt heads and knock them out with a hammer.

If you are talking about the rear lower control arm with the ball joint end yes the GSX is different from all the other 2g's also when swapping the rear wheel drive assy in you will need to pay attention to the crossmembers spot welded on the floor pan also as they are different and may present a small clearance problem that is easily overcome, as well as using the gsx gas tank and shield (driveshaft runs under it), the rear end/cradle assy should bolt right onto the exsisting frame stud mounts, as long as you have a donor car you should be good to go.

I actually got the whole rear suspension off wednsday. I was talking about the trailing arms (the one going forward from the lower arm to the body). Took a sledge, a pipe, and a little motivation. Thanks guys:thumb:
