hey i got a question... I have a '90 TSI AWD, and When i turn around in my drive way or turn sharp in a parking lot there is a weird locking action that actually makes my tires squeel when it locks. Its not all the time but it kinda chunks along. It only does it at very low speeds and when i turn it pretty sharp, and I dont notice it on the gravel much. could this be related to some of the vibrations that i have commin through the steering wheel at highway speeds? My mechanic said that i could be an axle but i just wanted another opinion. Thanx

LOL

You're "mechanic" said it was an axle? Has he ever worked on cars before? Honestly, I'm not a certified mechanic and no matter what if someone told me they have an AWD car and at low speeds the car feels like its hopping around cornors, that means its the center diff....welllll on its way out. Spyder gears arent turning properly anymore.

I'm sorry to bash but I think america should only employ DSM heads as mechanics. We seem to know more than normal mechanics...atleast in my view point because this is definately not the first time I've heard of a mechanic making a stupid suggestion of what it could be.
