AWD body with FWD trans/motor

The body on my FWD 96' talon is rusted pretty bad and the strut towers are starting to show that. There is a guy selling a perfectly good AWD shell. This is exactly what is says too "Body has no rust is a rolling chassis comes with konig racing rims and brand new falkin tires front end is the gsx 98 front bumper and head lights clean title will not have motor or trans !! body has 104000"

Is it possible to use my trans and motor which are fine on that shell or is it harder than im thinking?

It seems likely that it isn't a difficult swap, the reverse is done rather often. Maybe research how to do a 2g FWD to AWD swap and kind of do the reverse? Upshot is, you will have most of the stuff, minus transmission, T-case and rear diff, to finish returning it to AWD at some point.

If your FWD car is a 420A unit, this idea is null and void. Pretty sure that swap requires cutting/welding.
