awd 2g automatic wont move need help

k so i need some help my 95 tsi wont move in any gear....

k so to start off i was driving home and blew the engine in my car when i pulled over there was TRANNY fluid all over the ground but i didn't really think anything of it, so i got the car towed home pulled and rebuilt the engine started it up and it would not move in any gear i then checked the linkage cable adjustment it seemed to be fine i was told to pull a line off the trans to see if it was pumping fluid so i did and it wasn't i then pulled the engine back out and replaced the torque converter i just got it all back together and it still will not move in any gear

i need help I'm lost and don't know what else to check

to break it down
fluid level is good
new torque converter
everything is plugged in
linkage cable seems right


i cracked the side of the shift position sensor were the linkage cable connects to i don't think its that its just the shell that's cracked but could it cause it not to move at all??

Did you have it actually towed or did you have it on a flat bed? If you had it towed i.e. front wheels up and back on the ground you could have many problems within your drive terrain. AWD = all wheels turning within one system, if two aren't spinning and two are serious problems can occur. lift the car up and check everything out within the drive terrain, you will find the problem.

i realllllly hope for your sake you didnt tow your car with the front wheels in the air and your rear wheels on the ground that could end up as a headache for you.

when you put the car in drive u do u feel a jerk at all? check your axles and your drive shaft

i had it towed on a flat bed by the towing company and what do i i check my axles for?

when the engine blew there was tranny fluid all over the ground??
im pretty sure what ever caused that is causing this problem??

i said check the axles in thought that it was towed on 2 wheel sorry.

were you able to see exactly where the fluid came from? like exactly where? could it have been your transfer case?

If your transmission will no longer engage even though you already did evrything that could help it shift. Most likely its done for and it needs a complet overhaul. Never really heard of a transmission going out when a engine blows but I guess thats what happened to you at the same time...

NEW PROBLEM i started the car to mess with the shifting and it now tops out between 3500 and 4000rpm and starts shacking

i need to know about the sensors to check and if the rmp problem is related to the tranny problem??

i haven't diagnosed or tested any of the wire connections yet im trying to figure out how to use the voltmeter ....



i thought the same thing about blowing the tranny at the same time as i blew my engine and it don't make seance this has happened to me before i had a 92 eclipse with 1.8ltr manual trans that i popped a freeze plug and blew the head gasket and there was trans fluid every were when that happened i sold the car a week later it was back on craigslist for sale

fixed the rpm problem a coupling to my inter-cooler was loose giving me a boost leak...


there is a clicking sound i can hear when i put it in gear??

k so there is a clicking sound coming from by the tranny kinda sounds like its coming from a sensor but i don't know what the sensors are called can anyone know if the clicking is normal? i only hear it when in gear i think this might be my problem??

can anyone give me a diagram for the tranny sensors or the names of them??

so i just replaced the neutral safety switch and still nothing it still clicks and still will not move

Think its time to take your tranny to a shop to have them pull it apart and see what's going on.
