hey guys i was just curious what the average vacuum is i have a 420a and im reading 12 vacuum at idle and i was wondering if that sounds ok. Cause i dunno if im running incorrect boost levels :/ cause if my vacuum isnt reading correctly than my setup for the gauge has got to have a problem somewere. Gauge is fully functional reads diffrent levels of boost and vacuum under diffrent pedal pressure.

I believe that is is usually around 15 or so. The reason that your vac would be off would be because of a boost leak somewhere so try that and see if you have any leaks.

i have the boost gauge hooked up from the TB and since the turbo has just gone in we went over everything checking for leaks, my boost gauge however makes a sssssss noise, im not sure if the hose that connects into the boost gauge is fully on.

i have this skinny little clear tube made of like plastic i think imma trash it and get a nice big rubber hose run it and see what kind of vacuum readings i will get.

You current elevation has a big bearing on idle vac it seems. In southern Wisconsin I get 19 or 20Hg vac at idle.

ok guys this is how i have my boost gauge setup, if its wrong please correct me cause i dont want to blow my engine on a false boost reading. The other pic is of my car running at idle vacuum level.
