AutoTechnic Gauges

has anyone used any of the AC AutoTechnic Gauges before? how do they hold up? are they accurate? i was looking at their S7 Invision Boost gauge, it looks quite good and is less than half the price of the Defi D series boost gauge.

I have them and they have worked fine since I bought them a year or so ago. Probably pretty accurate, but I've never hooked up 2 boost gauges at the same time =).

i think i am going to give them a shot till i can cough up the cash for some defi ones...

nm...i found the Defi D series boost gauge for 102bucks...cant beat that...

I don't know man, I had A/F ratio and boost gauges from them before and they didn't hold up. The boost gauge just decided to break one day and the a/f guage wasn't accurate/specific enough for me. I wouldn't recommend them.

your talking about the autotechnic ones right? because i heard the defi are like the best gauges you can buy.

I have the AC s7 series boost and AF guage the boost is dead accurate and the af is as acurate as you can get a narrowband O2 to be.. I would reconmend them to anyone plus they look very sharp.

i have the AC autotechnic S7 Invision boost and A/F gauges in my car on the apillar. i would advise against getting the invision(the tinted ones) because they are only visible at night, in the day you cannot see into them at all, so you never would know if you popped a hose and were doing 30psi, other than the fact your car was going fast as hell.

my boost gauge came miscalibrated(happens when theyre thrown around) so its off by -5psi. something i couldnt notice because of the tint till later that night and i turned the car off and was still at -5psi. just make sure when you get them that the gauges are zeroed out.

and do not get them from ebay or some hupty online import store. i bought one off of ebay and they kept saying they were on backorder, so i decided to buy another one off a real site and then sell the one from ebay whenever it gets in. well it hasnt came, and the real site says theyre on backorder too. which is funny cause the gauges i ordered arent even listed on the ac autotechnic site anymore(meaning theyre discontinued) so there are people still selling them when they dont exist.

umm the a/f gauge isnt going to be accurate at all in a dsm unless youre using a wideband o2 kit. the only thing the a/f gauge is good for is taking up a otherwise gaping hole in a 2 pod a pillar mount. its accurate, in that it tells you when your are idling(stoich), when you are at WOT(rich) and when you are decelerating(lean). other than that it has no other useful purposes.

I have the s7 boost, water temp, and volt(yes I know) gauges. I like them and can't really complain.....

Agreed, usually just an LED light show.
