Okay, so I bought a new GSX for a really good price, so it has some quirks..

It came with pillar gauges with all autometer c2 gauges, the air/fuel ratio appears to be working, water temp not working and boost not working.

I was looking at the boost gauge and it's all hooked up right, it's getting vacuum, I volt tested all the wires from the plugs on both sides and they're all making contact, it's lighting up but it's not reading any boost or vacuum, not working at all.

My only guess after trouble shooting everything I could think of, is that the boost/vacuum sender, as autometer calls it, is not working.

It's an 85 dollar part, so I was seeing if any other ideas would help before I ordered it.
"Replacement Boost/Vacuum 30 in.Hg. Sender"

The boost/vacuum sender was placed under the hood, my friend says when he hooked his boost gauge up it said not to put that in the engine bay because it could overheat, soo..

Could this be the only solution?

Test it by hooking up an accurate vacuum pumps and see if they 2 readings contradiction each other.

You can contact autometer and they'll tell you to send it in and they will prob send you a new one. My wideband went out and they told me to send just the gauge its self in and they sent me a hole new kit free of charge. No recipe needed.

+1 on that. Get a gauge you know that works right and check the readings.

Only two ways to check a gauge, 1)test against a working/accurate gauge or 2)against a calibrated pressure/vacuum for comparison or recalibration. But a lot of gauges can't be recalibrated.

I would check that out more closely before doing anything. Most of the DSMers are really too thrifty to by an electronic boost guage. Usually it's mechcanical and the boost is measured thru a hose that comes into the pillar and plugs onto a barbed fitting on the back of the unit. There aren't any sending units involved. look under the hood and see if you actually have that expensive unit that you mentioned. If not, just make sure the input side of that hose is connected to a boost/vaccuum source.

Thanks for all the suggestions haha.

Well first off, i've tested the line that the boost gauge is reading from and it's obviously pulling boost just the gauge doesn't read any. And I don't have any other gauge to hook up so I'm not sure where to go from there.

Contacting autometer might be a good idea, I think I'll try that I don't feel like buying a 100 piece.

And I'm sure it's an electronic boost gauge haha, i've checked out all the wiring.

might be the gauge iv had many gauges fail on me never a auto meter yet. But i do go threw oil press sending units kinda fast even with the sender relocated on the firewall.
