Automatic Transmission Acting Weird

My automatic transmission in my 98 RS is acting weird. Sometime's it'll shift good 1 - 2 - 3 and other times it won't get passed 2nd.


It has been re-built by a crappy amateur shop in Phoenix and they said the reason why it won't hit fourth gear is electrical but I don't trust them the least bit.

It's throwing up P0700 and P1784 on the CEL code's

The actual tranny fluid is pink and full. As mentioned it was 're-built' by a crappy shop here.

Before I took it to them it was working good for the most part except for fourth gear and now I'm having problems shifting out of 2nd, then I turn off the car, wait a few seconds & turn it back on drive down the street and it works 1st --> 2nd --> 3rd

Any advice is appreciated guys

Seems electrical to me. After looking on google for a few minutes, it seems that P1784 is "Pressure Control Switch LR". The first code is general TCM trouble.

TCM being transmission control module? Is this it or something different:

I have a feeling it's something small.

Today I went to a few places to get it diagnosed but they were all to busy to take me in today.

I was driving and it didn't hit 3rd gear so I turned it off at a stopsign, waited a minute & when it turned back on it would hit 3rd gear when the time was right.

Is this a fuse or relay?

Please someone help me fix my DSM it's my baby
