I kicked that about in my head, since making that post, and it seems like a fine route since a stroker shouldn't see the high RPM issues associated with keeping the balance shafts in place. Between that and the new-ish blue Kevlar belts available for them, I like the idea a bit more.

I may pull the shafts out before I do a new short block, just for comparison.

Not to mention your tranny hates it when you go over 8k rpms.
