Visual evidence of the need for suspension upgrades...

I'm thinking:
1. Tires (although I may hold off until I upgrade to wider 17's or 18's)
2. A/R bars
3. Coilovers

What a gorgeous car!! 2gb's are the sexiest!! I know all about body lean myself(see below). Coilovers and shocks will remedy most of it.

Yup. I remember when I was on cut springs and GR-2's. Ah, memories. :p

My avatar pic shows me near the limit on R-comps with 650/425 springs and RM bars. Up your total roll resistance and enjoy the added front grip.

Will that also keep the car from plowing like a water buffalo?

This thing understeers like crazy.

I'm dying to get off of these stupid Eibach springs and get somethign better under the car.

The key to getting our cars to stop plowing is two-fold: get the total roll resistance above 25,000 and get 2.5* of static front camber. You could call this the 25/2.5 rule, if you wish. Don't waste your time fighting with balance until you are close.

No OTS "lowering" springs will get you anywhere near 25,000, unless you use swaybars about two inches thick (an overstatement to make a point). You have to get coilovers.

Ground control coils and rre plates here I come.

I will however say that the ST rear bar on full stiff and a rather stiff rear shock setup can help to a degree. I can often get the rear end to dance when it's either cold or slightly off camber.

Ah, but I can rotate with lift on any surface at any temp.

If you care: my static weight distribution is about 61/39, while my roll resistance is 56/44. This is way too rear-biased for road-racing, but it does make the car fun to autocross. And not having the option of lifting in a sweeper does force a gutless wimp like me to drive faster.

At speeds around 65-70mph mine's fairly neutral right now with a slight tendency to resort to understeer. I've got alot of upgrading that can still be done in the suspension department and with any luck I can get a little of it done this winter.:thumb:
