Kelowna,
OK so heres the deal. My stupid car is screwed yet again...

Whenever I try and drive the car (D) it will go but when it wants to shift to 2nd the tranny just goes into neutral!! And then I have to turn off the car to get it going back in 1st gear again! Reverse always works. I can drive in low gear (L) but the second I swich it to (2) it'll just go back into neutral until I restart the car.

Somebody please help me. This stupid car is garbage. I drove it like 10, 000 in 3 years and have spend more time reparing the damn thing than driving the car!! Ahh..

Have you kicked it yet? I would try that first. If that doesn't work....

The only thing I can say is check the fluid. Thats about all the advise I can give you with my limited knowledge of automatics.

Hopefully somebody here understands the intricacies of the automatic, and can provide more help. Otherwise, I'm thinking rotten transmission shop.

If you decide to replace it (if it comes to that) you may consider putting a manual in, if you can drive one. There is much less to go wrong. Personal preference, though.

Oh, and thats what you get for buying a DSM. :)

Good luck with that, though.

Yea I'm going to check that in the morning! I don't understand the dip sick though, there is a cold, warm, and hot labels on it. What does that mean? How do I know if its full?

If it is the tranny that took a dump on me, I'll get a 5 speed swap. :)

yeah sounds like your either missing something in the tranny, which won't let you switch into second. I guess you can't even tell if third and fourth are working either....start pricing a 5spd swap.
