1G Auto Shifter Compatibility

What shifters are compatible for our cars? I know sites don't list any for dsm's but I know people are using ratchet shifters, that are designed for other cars, just want to know what other cars so I can choose the correct one? If you feel inclined to find the exact one that I want, I'm looking to get a black hurst pistol grip quarter-stick with the button just don't want to order one that wont work...

There are none to my knowledge that are a simple bolt-in affair however most any ratchet style shifter can be made to work. I will likely look into getting a promatic 2 but recently been toying with the idea of a 3g manumatic with a shift box.

I know I'll have to make it fit, just looking for one that will be the most similar/easiest to install.

Look. Into the promatic. You can install a 5spd shifter boot over the handle for a super clean look as well.

I'm using a B&M Pro Ratchet shifter. I've been very happy with it and it's relatively easy to install. Building a base for the shifter and modifying the factory shifter arm on the trans is all that's needed.
