auto shifter binding

I am having a problem with my shifter. Lately it was getting hard to move it into the other positions, and after I drove it home this morning and parked it, the wife got in to go to work and it won't budge. I have checked the cables and they seem to be doing what they are supposed to in regards to the lock and brake. My concern is that maybe the manual valve inside the valve body has broken. It has been modified as per the translab shift kit. Would that keep the shifter from moving? anyone know what may be causing this?

check your transmission fluid. it'll start shifting harder if the fluid gets low.

Its not a fluid issue, its mechanical. Shifter lever won't move. Stuck in Park.

I disconnected the cable and the shifter moves perfectly. Definitely something internal.

Its at the shop now, see what they say.

Cable froze up possibly

Problem solved. manual valve broke in half. Good thing I had the IPT one still sitting here.
