Auto dimming mirror with map lights

So I've recently read the write ups for the auto dimming mirror conversion and I love the idea, however the mirror used in the write up doesn't have map lights. Since I have a spyder the map lights are the only interior lights available while driving. I am wondering if there are any cars with the auto dimming mirror with map lights and if so how different would the wiring be?

most of the newer cars come with it. I've gone to the junk yard and found them in chevys and fords. I'm sure there are more vehicles that have them than those two. Some have the map lights in them. or fabricate them into the mirror if you cant find one.

I would say, just search for a convertible with auto dimming mirrors and you've got your donor car. Since they would probably have the same kind of map lights.

I grabbed mine from an early model Cadillac that I found at the scrappers.

I believe the mounting is even the same for 2Gs.

The mirror I used in my write up was from a Chrysler 300M, and I choose it specifically because it didn't have map lights. However, I just got a new one yesterday from a GM car, sadly I forget what it was , but I took it because it has the outside temp display and maybe a compass too. It does also have LED map lights. Once I get it wired up and installed, I'll post up an amended write-up and post a link here to it, if I remember that I made this comment.

Toyota solaras have the mirror with auto dim withans lights.

I believe most of the Chryslers has similar mirrors.
