auto awd tranny dont go into gear

so i was driving my automatic awd eclipse today when i stoped to turn into myu bank. when i wanted to go i pushed the acelerator and nothing happend exept it reved out then finally caught....like crazy. And after that it doesnt wanna go into any gear reverse or drive. I was just wondering if anyone knew what this could be.

That is the same thing that happened to me, and sorry to be the one to tell you but your tranny is shot!!!! Or at least that is what the dealership told me. Just get it towed to your local mechanic and get them to check it out.
