Drove over 200 miles to and from the track today(total street car). HOT muggy day here in the NE. Right off the street at all of 29 psi touching 30 briefly according to the log..clicked off a 10.7@126. Promptly got the boot but was able to make another 1/8 mile pass that would of been a 10.6 for sure. This was on e70 and going through the traps at a super rich 10.0 afr..:ohdamn:..but considering I went 11.1 a month ago I think Ive taken a step in the right direction. Have to contemplate a 6 point now...

Sorry no vids as I was by myself.
Car weighs 3050 with me in it. Self tuned on V3/SD, FP-3052, 262/272 HKS, Full 3'' TBE, ETS Race IC, e70, 2150s, Double Pumper

35R is in the wings but Im not sure if it will spool up on this stock convertor without nitrous. Guess I'll have to find out :D

Great job and nice car! Good to see those kind of times with the same turbo I'm using.

Thanks guys. With the Dynatek Arc2 I just installed (not in the photo) it will launch at 20 psi at 3500 rpm. It wants to pull through the brakes at about 3300 but it works. I was hoping to actuall test & tune but the track officials werent happy. I did manage to make one tweak and cut a 1.58 60' and went 103mph in the 1/8 before the hot sun just made me want to leave...

Thats a pretty decent 60ft, what were the track conditions like? And was this pass on normal street tires? Thats gotta be a fun street car.

Its a wicked fun street car now that its on corn! It went 11.1 @122 on c16 at 27 psi and would breakup at 28 psi, thats why I bought the Dynatek. It works. The tires are an old worn set of BFG drag radials..225/45/17

The 3052 is an incredible street turbo. HTA version would be that much better

Congrats on getting it in the 10's

When was it breaking up exactly though before on c16 or still on e70? And with what Plug/Gap/wire combo? That is REALLY rich on the top end for even a low mix of ethanol... .

Is this the 1g Auto I think it is? No hard feeling if it is just curious

It was breaking up on C16 on those blue wires from the first pic on both br and bpr7es at 20 gap. The car you referring to was a beater and thankfully sold..

Oh Ok...

Hmmm... You where that rich on e70 and didn't have any issues? Not sure how long you where that low. But, get that leaned out a bit there and I would imagine you would pick up a bit on your ET and MPH.

Yea after 6500 rpm it just went crazy fat. I had it rich assuming I was going to pick up e85 and tweak it at the track but I went home early. Its got room and a 10.50 is a few clicks away

Very nice congrats! The dynatek works a lot better than ecmlinks fuel cut two step. Even if your on a stock restall I wouldn't expect any 35r to be able to stall up. Maybe if its a 2.3 with a small housing on the 35r.

Great times man. Where did you get the "2300cc" valve cover?

20psi gives me hope for my 2.4 and 3065 I just picked up.
Ah yea the 2.4 should have no trouble spooling the 3065

Thanks KP. Forgot to menton it in my mods..it is a 2.3 and I have the FP housing on a standard 35r sitting on my bench. So it just may work

Bought the car with it on. Looks like the previous owner had a great idea where he cut the 0 and used the cut to make the 3.. Came out great actually
Great numbers! Is it a stock converter and trans? How many seconds does it takes to stall to 20psi?
Never timed it..maybe 10 seconds. 7 seconds gradually going to 100% TPS then 3 seconds on the 2 step
It has a Translab kit in it and as far as I know its a stock trans and convertor. Full line pressure by way of chip and also a forced four box if I want to manually shift it.

awesome setup with great results. I v0te dont do the 35r. that will ruin the daily driven fun. and make it much harder to setup correctly for track use

would love to see this hit a dynojet!

Yea the 30r has been a pleasant surprise. The highest output Ive seen on one is 560 awhp so theres some room. Not bad for a 52# turbo..I will do what I can to max out this setup. Dyno #s could be in my very near future

Thanks guys. This is actually my 3rd time into the 10's. My first 1Ga went [email protected] 200# lighter but that was also 9-10 years ago. My recently sold 04 Evo RS was tuned by me on ECUflash and went 10.85 on a FP black and stock Mas sensor. This car beats em both and cost me about 8-9k. The rewarding part is doing it all on my own. ECMlink is a breeze and setting up SD is well worth it.

I would REALLY REALLY love to see a log from the 10.7 run to compare with my "stock auto/converter" car that is in limbo with turbo selection (and I have a FP3052 available to me to use if I choose). I'm super super interested to plot boost response against my 2.0L/20G.

Congrats on the good pass, that second pass was most definitely a 10.65 or better as you were down .076 at the 1/8th and "gaining' ET and mph each interval compared to the first pass. Certainly would be no getting away with running that car in NJ with NHRA rules and no roll bar. Im getting booted for 11.3-11.4 on the first run, and can definitely feel for ya on debating roll bar in your everyday streetcar. But mid 10's...yeah, you really should have one as running the car only to 11.5's would be pretty boring.

Yea the NHRA rules around here are real tight. Its a shame that we just cant sign a waiver or release. To see the Hayabusa click off mid nines off the street and all the dude needs is leathers, gloves, helmet makes no sense to me. You think that sh!t is gonna protect him if he crashes? He'll be a parachute then a pizza at the top end.

As far as a comparison I dont think my 2.3 will give you solid reference. Its that 20g thats holding you down Nate. I would love to see you try the 3052 out however. I think you should be able to get on the convertor better than your current turbo. When I shut my car off the 3052 continues to spin for way over a min. I should time it! BB turbos are what every auto needs unless your at an hta68 or under. Just my .02c
