Ok, so I have a Redjack Racing twin scroll manifold that I will be matting to a HX40. I have never done a setup like this and attaching the HX40 to the manifold has me a little perplexed. Some areas require a shorter bolt then the others. I am just wondering how some of the other people have attached there turbo to this manifold.

I used a different manifold for mine. I am using the erl cast stainless manifold and went with studs so that i didnt have to deal with not being able to get the bolts in or out depending on clearances.

I used two m10x1.5 bolts 30mm long for two bolts, I cut one bolt down a bit to fit, and I used a stud from the manifold down for the last fastener. On my holset turbine housing, two holes were threaded and I drilled them out so as to get the bolt through. They actually were the same thread pitch but when I tried tightening them down, they wouldn't get tight enough with threads on both flanges. Hence why I decided to drill them out.

Ah ok, the holes on my turbine housing have already been drilled out. I thought about going the stud route but didn't know what size studs I needed and if I used a stud do I need nuts on both sides if the stud or just the turbo side?
