I'm excited about the Talon showing up. I take it that the timing and stuff hasn't been done yet, correct? And who assembled the bottom end?
 
Don't know who did the bottom end. It was in bobby's gst. I looked out over pulled the oil pan off of it and there want any metal shavings or anything looking bad or out of place so I bolted the head on it and it sits like like still. And the timing stuff is still sitting in the box it was shipped in. all brand new from extremepsi.com its all oem stuff too

Hey man its no big deal. I know your busy, we will get together on it. Right now we are waiting to get the intake pipe and hks bov on the car. Also going to install a 3 bar map sensor to log boost.

We are in Fayetteville for the weekend playing in the state tournament.
 
After driving my car and it just stopping. ( before my blt) I don't know what happened but I guess my battery quit and at the same time my starter quit. Guess im getting a new starter..., and battery... jesus H christ
 
The starter was off that black talon Kei. So idk the condition (mine went out tge first fireup). The battery is a walmart special. ( it had been charged a few times being as I have ran the car at idle with no alt belt on). Got the IM bolted back with RTV This time. Will run a BLT tommoriw to make sure. I had the geniuses at the zone check my stuff.

Also when my motor would turn over it would barely spin.

Alls also when I drove it and broke down. The ground wire I have going through the bolt through the tranny to the starter was so Damn hot I couldn't touch it.

My battery light was on for a while. Then it.just went off. It might be my alternator also. But it would idle in the yard for days, but when I took it out. It didn't sound awful when it quit just pop and stop....
 
Didn't see the part about the ground being hot.

Your grounding out somewhere with a major problem. It sounds like its unfused because its allowing the wire to get that hot.

You may want to get a digital multi meter, you can get one for less than $20 and will save you from a lot of headaches. Its one of my most used tools.

Also my power wire for my starter goes straight off tge battery. And tge ground does too.

This right?
 
Yeah that's right and the third wire going to the starter is what energizes the starter relay. I'm wondering of the relay is not part of the problem. If its shorting it would draw enough current to make the wirehot and cause the starter to not work.

The basics of the meter is easy and its a priceless tool.

She'll be a monster is what she'll be. Install a safc and 550cc's and turn the boost up to 16ish psi......ah. Love.

Just gonna need Little love. At least I took care of the hard parts like having the crank inspected. Haha.
