Pic of said roadster

In purchased at the moment but after some discussions with the wife, inspiration from other such as yourself doing a swap, and my desire to work on vintage cars again I'm looking for a late 1960s Datsun Roadster. Some of this is due to the local autocross closing down so my build for the Talon has been altered some in addition to all the maintenance I have just completed. Th car now has a new clutch and flywheel, head rebuilt, head gasket, timing belt, etc. along with new tires. I believe once I get it back together it will become my new DD in its current state and I will begin working on a rat rod inspired roadster.

I've been dieting for a 2 seat vert and lost the auction for two roadsters before I bought the talon so it's time to return I believe.

1 : That tool is priceless.

2 : First person here with 3k cash can drive the Talon onto a %$#!ing Trailer and have themselves a near Pristine 2GB Talon. Otherwise it's going up in flames.

And for the record - NEVER waste money on a Flashable %$^ing ECU.

They're retarded when it comes to reliability. It's just the damn car overall getting on my nerves. I've never had a car infuriate me more than this bastard and I've fought with the LT1 and stock cast headers with changing spark plugs.

First it's a complete rebuild.
Then it's replacing Calipers
Then it's resolving some shitty wiring here and there.
Incorrect flywheel was given with car
Replacing shot to shit wheels
Coolant Leaks
Base timing
CAS wiring
Door Lock actuators draining the battery
ECUFlash hardly ever connects
Evoscan is unreliable and a simple google search will verify that
Last but not least, the ####ing battery is now shot, so off to the store to replace it.

It's literally drivable, but I'm not a negligent owner that fires a car up for the first time in 2 years and tries to drive down the road. No. I want the idle perfect. The AFRs in the proper place. The throttle response crisp. So I try to spend time with it but I can't adjust a damn thing while the ####ing ECU won't allow a connection if for SOME reason the damn battery is only putting out 11.9 volts. Let the damn thing charge for 2 hours and it can't even turn the engine over any more. The damn battery drain killed it.

If I had a hand grenade I'd literally drop it in the ####ing engine bay.

####ing brand new battery - Cranks over great now. Evoscan nor ECUflash will properly work because they're only detecting 1 volt. ####ing Fantastic.

This is why people kill themselves.

Wow! Kia, i think this whole issue you are having is with evoscan or ecuflood ecu. I am glad im sticking with Ecmlink. One click in the ecu and you are good to go to run a 6bolt swap with link.

Last night i was riding in Stephen's GSX and his V3 was absolutely amaizing with speed density. The idle was amazing with 2100cc injectors and flying on the interstate with his turbo at 70lbs a min was absolutely priceless. from 50mph to 130mph happens in a blink of an eye! :D

Damn Alex, I never seen you that pissed. Must be something awful..

No bobby, I dislike those plastic holders, it really only is that damn exhaust gear that gets a tooth out everytime, I bought the arm that slides into the holes. Easier than a damn wrencn holdin it.

I'm calm now. -.-;;;

Had a few drinks and started playing with fuses. So, get this - The OBDII port gets its power from the Door Lock fuse. Isn't that awesome? Furthermore, it was my Door Lock circuit that was causing the battery draw. Tore off the door panels and found where someone had broken the passenger side lock. Cleaned the wires up, popped the fuse in, viola.

Almost drove it. Didn't think I deserved to so I didn't. -_-;

Ill do a timing belt with yall I love doing them they are so easy on these cars LOL mine can be done in about 1 hour if I lay my tools out first. LOL hit me up we will take it to the shop and knock it out one day woot woot.

oh and bobby we raid you cause I know neither of us want our house destroyed but you got kids soooo.....

Trying to make the push to get the wagon going. Would like to build the quest, but one project at a time
