Hey changing my timing belt and kinda broke. I want to get this kit but im afriad the belts will jsut suck and break after 20,000 miles. Anyone had experience with these belts.

why even risk it? just go OEM mitsu parts and be done with it. sure there a bit more expensive, but they ARE worth it. besides, you get all that for $120? a t-belt, Bs Belt, and pulleys? just remember, you get what you pay for.

I'm going to 2nd that opinion. If there's one thing I can think of not to skimp on, it would be my timing belt. Just think, all it takes is ONE time. You line up next to some Eminem look alike in his Civic SI and he starts revvin' on you. You take it up to 6000 RPMS, cuz that's obviously all ya need, ! , and next thing you know he blows by you as your car coughs and dies just after the intersection. Your belt has skipped a tooth or two and your valves have made passionate love to your pistons. Game over. All because you wanted to save $20 bucks on such a vital piece. Go head and put 7-11 diesel gas in your tank while you're at it. That's cheaper too.

I got a timing belt and tensioner from Mitsubishi for $122 shipped to my door. The only thing I thought about buying was a kevlar timing belt.
