Are my GT35's flanges backwards?

So I was looking at my oil feed and return kits for my GT35R and it looks like the feed and return flanges on my turbo are switched. Am I dumb or is this a problem? Is this turbo made for a different type of exhaust manifold or something or was it just built wrong?

Uh, the housings on most Garrett turbos rotate 360* to alleviate such an issue.

Maybe for a top mount exhaust manifold?

you have to clock the turbo dude.

see the bolts in the center section piece area around the outside edge of the compressor housing and exhaust housing? Loosen them just SLIGHTLY, untill there just 'finger tight' and then you can 'rotate' the housings around the wheels and aim the center section so that obviously oil drain is at the bottom, and feed is at the top. Then.. you can aim the compressor housing where you want so charge piping fits nicely .

Funny story.. a local 'shop' around here built a car for a dealership actually.. and they went though TWO turbo's! (GT4202) before they relized when they took the 2nd one off that they had the oil drain on the top and the oil feed on the bottom !

Thats how Precision ships their turbos, just loosen the bolts and rotate the center section
