Are any of these mods illegal to drive on the street with? (Meaning having to worry about cops)

Aftermarket seats w/ 4pt harness
Fuel Cell instead of stock fuel tank

That's why when I get pulled over, if I do, I make it very comfortable for them. If after all that, they start to profile me or give me a ticket for something I don't agree on, I have them call their supervisor over and I will become more verbal with them, but remain respectful,.

Cops :thumbdown
I respect them when their out there risking their lifes for us, but when they wanna abuse their power, thats when they lose respect and become assholes.
only ticket i ever got was doing "65" in a 40. It was raining out and i was taking my girlfriend home and a car comes speeding up on and gets like 1/2 a car away, i was going MAYBE 50 but i think it wasnt even 50. Anyways, i speed up a little to 55 and its still on my butt, so i kick it to 3rd and slow down, without applying breaks. Anyways, the car almost runs into the back of me, so i turn off first chance i get. What do you know, cop lights come on....
Anyways, he was such a nice guy, he even commented how he could of gotten me for being out past 12 if i started to drive again but wouldnt. Anyways, i beat it in court HAHAHA. Walking out of court laughing in his face was the best feeling on earth..... So my record is still 100% clean! cant wait till im 18 and can drive after 12 LOL.....

I have found that if you dont act stupid then you dont get pulled over. I got a ticket for doing 80 in a 55 (very stupid), and I havent done that since, and remarkably, I havent had a ticket since! Oh, and that was 4 years ago...

I have also found that when you don't act stupid, you still get pulled over. Once such incident happened down in Jacksonville, N.C., on a Sunday morning. Knowing that the main street down there (Lejeune Blvd, I believe) is a major speed trap (three lane highway, speed limit of 45 mph), I always make it a point to either stay off of that road, or watch my speedometer. At one stoplight was a police cruiser next to me. When the light turned green, I pulled off. It was a brisk acceleration, certainly not a redline spinning, clutch dropping, tire squealing launch, but I did pull off from the light faster than he did. He promptly pulled me over, and wrote me up for going 48 in a 45, and admonished me for passing a police cruiser, thereby showing no disrespect for the law. I really wanted to say something smartass to this cop, but knowing that the local police and judges have no love for Marines, I said nothing, as he berated me for breaking the law. He also went on a rant about how I should know better than to be so reckless since I was a black man in such a nice car (it was a rented 2004 TrailBlazer, paid for by the gov't), never mind that the cop himself was black. 45 minutes wasted because I had the nerve to exceed this speed trap by 3 mph and be so brazen as to pass a police cruiser.

I don't believe that what happend to me is indicative of the behaivor of all police officers, but I refuse to believe that in all circumstances of getting pulled over by the cops that if you keep both hands on the wheel, answer everything with a "Yes, officer," or, "no officer," that you won't get harassed. I don't believe there was any reason why anybody should be pulled over for exceedint the speed limit by less than 5 mph. I don't believe there was any reason why any driver should be lectured on potential racial profiling. And I definitely don't believe that just because an officer is on a 12 hour shift he should cure his boredom by fishing around if there's no reason to fish.

I try not to be a cop-basher, because I am good friends with quite a number of police officers, and I've worked with them on a number of anti-drug educational programs in my community. The ones I've worked with are highly dedicated and very professional. But you can't ignore the fact that there are cops out there who walk around with a chip on their shoulder and have nothing else to do than mess with motorists.

So I should quit stopping the street racers and go after the real criminals? I hope that is not what you are trying to say. if so that is sad.... So I should go after someone else and not the little punk kids that want to try to be fast and the furious posers by racing on the streets, even though last week I saw what happens after a kid in a WRX slams into a minivan with a family in it after the WRX blew through a red light. Those arent the type of people I should stop?

Last I looked everything you just described is against the law, so yes if the person is racing or running red lights they should be stopped.

If I stop you, adn you start givin me an attitude, saying shit like "why are you harrassing me. Why not go after a real criminal". then you are going to get out of your car, and I will ask if I can look through it. Just a routine inspection. You hassle me, Ill hassle you. I am on shift for 12 hours, this gives me something to do

Please post your district and badge number so we can talk to the local department about your attitude and the fact that you are overworked. Maybe they can find you a better posisiton or fire your ass.

Probable cause is there to protect me, fellow officers, and John Q. Public. It is not a guick fix for a warrant. It is there so I can ID the John Blackabys in the neighbor hood.

I hope that by Blackabys you are not making a racist statement.

JKohn is a guy that I had probable cause to search, but diddnt as he was being a nice guy to me. once I let him return to his car, he pulled a gun and took two shots at me before I could stop him. turns out he had just shot and killed his girlfriend an hour before and thought I was o to him.... If I had execrised a search under probable cause he wouldnt have shot at me, and things would have turned out a LOT better for him.

If you truly had probable cause and didn't exercise it that is your own fault.

If I stop you I am expecting you to try to hurt me. I expect you to have a gun or a knife. I assume you want to kill me for pulling you over. give me lip adn it just gets worse for ou. I will not lose.

If you have that much fear of the general public then you need to get a desk job. Same goes for the totalitarian attitude. Absolute power corrupts absolutely, indeed.

Oh and if you tell me no, I will simply tow your car, search it anyway, then make you pay the towing fee as well as the storage fee. adn it wont be for just one day. Go ahead, give me an atttitude.

Once again can you post your badge number and precinct? I wonder if the local/City/County DA knows that this is how you conduct police business? I am sure your superior's and the local population would love to hear your ideas on law enforcement.

It is cops with attitudes such as yours that causes the population at large to hate the police and everything you perpetrate to stand for. I believe the police creed or whatever is to serve and protect, not to self-serve and harass.

Edit - I just looked up Maurertown, VA and it looks to be very small. Population of about 2,000, yeah now I really understand your fear of the local public. Must be a lot of crime in Mayberry these days.

I say #### it lets start a Aftermarket Rebellion. Shit I think its just as stupid as your guys do. But what can you do, You best bet would be to talk to someone that knows the law. I would say go talk to a police officer but one might say its legal the other not...I have seen it happen b-4. The cops in my town dont give a shit. I talk with the local PD all the time and all of them are my friends...So I really dont have to worry about town police. Its the Sheriff's Dept. and the Highway Patrol I have to be sneaky with

No they're not illegal. There is no law that says they're illegal. People who say it's illegal are making it up. People on the internet make shit up all the time. :p
