I was just wondering if all big t28s were the same.. Im either going with the slowboyracing big t28 or the proven forced performance fp-28.. there both around the same price so any help would be appreciated.. thanks!

Just wanted to say that I love my FP Big28. I haven't had any regrets about the purchase at any time. Lots of power, low spool, and it looks just like the stock turbo for a nice sleeper effect.

I went with turbochargers.com Big T28 Killer and so far it's been excellent. I have to turn the boost back up and see what it can really do. If I didn't get this one, I was gonna go with FP because everyone recommends them.

Love my FP bigt28.
Just make sure to get that baby ported when you purchase it if that's what you decide on.
If you want maybe one step larger than this consider a 2g20g setup tho.

thanks for the comments guys.. I really had my heart set to get an extrernally gated 50 or 60 trim with all the supporting mods but its going to cost way over 3 grand which will take me a year to save up cuz I only have a part time job... well I only want like 260 at the wheels now.. Right now its either a fp-28 or the t28 killer.. but i heard some bad things about the killer how the turbo gets so hot that it glows..??.. One more question what would be a better turbo overall for a fwd the t28 killer or fp28.. I know the they flow about the same and is there any way to port the 6cm housing for the killer to gain some top end.. thanks!

I would personally recommend the FP Big28. I have one with all supporting mods, including a set of HKS 264/272 cams, and FP's new upgraded 17lb wastegate actuator as well, and I run 20psi daily on pump gas. It's also very fun being able to pull on c5 vettes. ;) The FP Big28 is easily capable of 300whp even without the aid of cams. Dennis Grant made 348hp and 376lb ft. of torque at the wheels without the aid of cams with the FP Big28. He was using a stand alone but none the less he made those #'s. :thumb:

thanks for the info.. I never knew this turbo had crazy potential.. I just want to dip in low 13's.. What are your supporting mods?? Im prolly gonna go with 550cc injectors and a safc.. I already have a 3 inch turboback, hard upper/intercooler pipes, intake and a mbc.. Im gonna order the fp28 on friday since its on sale and prolly gonna port it too..

No problem dude. Just make sure you have it ported. If you want you can check out my profile for my mods, and feel free to check out my gallery as well. Just keep in mind that tuning also plays a big role in performance.:)
